Historically the construction sector has performed poorly in terms of cost and productivity. Studies have shown that out of every dollar $0.35 is wasted in inefficiencies, change orders, downtime, and costly rework.
BIM (Building Information Modeling) has digitized the construction industry, cutting out most of the inefficiencies. As a result we can have a more transparent, more efficient, and more sustainable industry. This approach enables design issues to be solved digitally in 3D before any resources are spent on materials or labor. This means our projects are of better quality, more energy efficient, and therefore more sustainable.
Studies have also shown that with proper BIM use (ISO 19650 standards) a well-coordinated and understood design by all stakeholders can result in 35% savings in cost, 40% in time, and a 75% reduction in change orders.
